Communities Protect their Ancestral Forests with Carbon Offsets

In this video, Moses Sigiligi, a Hadza elder, explains that before the Yaeda-Eyasi carbon offset project, their community struggled to prevent incursions into their ancestral forest. With the revenue from carbon offset sales, they have trained village game scouts to protect their forest and how different community benefits have been created.

The Yaeda-Eyasi Landscape Project is one of the projects in our Climate Impact Portfolio that has been supported by our carbon offset program.
