The Bird Nest Guardian Program, a part of the Keo Seima carbon offset project, provides benefits to locals who ensure the safe nesting of endangered birds. Participants patrol nesting areas to prevent poaching or logging efforts during chick season, document new nests, and count the number of baby birds raised in their area. You will hear from Tuk Sokhon, a nest guardian who has seen the population of nesting Great Ibis in his area double since he started watching over the nests.
The Keo Seima project is one of the projects in our Climate Impact Portfolio that has been supported by our carbon offset program.
