An award-winning former journalist turned serial entrepreneur, Paul co-founded Context Travel, a category-defining, B-Corp Certified experiential travel company, and Cicero Learning, public-benefit startup that connects learners with teachers for one-to-one courses. As a journalist Paul has written extensively about sustainable travel, winning a Lowell Thomas Award for his work with National Geographic and sitting on Nat Geo’s Sustainable Destinations Panel.
In addition to his role as board chair and executive chair at Sustainable Travel International, Paul is also board chair at Modern Adventure, a VC-backed travel startup that builds travel experiences with leading chefs, scientists, athletes and others as experiential marketing products for top brands.
Paul is a perpetual traveler and currently lives on a sailboat with his family. When he’s not helping founders and boards sort out strategy or build growth, he spends his time freediving, surfing, and repairing marine diesels.
