Ken Frohling, Climate Solutions Partnerships Director at Sustainable Travel International

Climate Solutions Partnerships Director

Ken was bitten by the travel bug early in life after taking his first airplane trip at age 10 to visit his uncle in Texas. He started globetrotting in his early 20s and has since traveled to over 150 countries. His adventures include crossing Africa from north to south by land over seven months and trekking through four of the five ‘Stan’ countries. Ken enjoys connecting with local communities wherever he goes and is a big believer that travel can connect people and ideas and be a conduit of change for the better. He has also tried some very interesting foods over the years!

Ken has held sales and partnership roles in the travel industry since 1992 including stints in travel technology, hotels, and cruise lines. Ken was an early management team member of Viator.com and helped to create not just Viator, but a booming industry in local experiences. Ken was intricately involved in the Viator acquisition by TripAdvisor in 2014 and served as Vice President – Global Business Development in the newly formed TripAdvisor Experiences. Ken also formed Keystone Travel Consultants in 2017 and has advised numerous companies in the tour, activity, and local experiences market.

Ken joined Sustainable Travel International in 2023 to help raise awareness of sustainability and climate action, specifically in the travel industry. Ken has a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and currently resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
