Amanda is co-founder of Plan C Advisors ( “C” for Companies, Climate, and Communities.)  Plan C helps board members and C Suite executives understand the potential impact of climate change on their businesses and devises sector specific strategies for mitigating the most significant of these risks and providing resiliency for the regions/communities affected.

Amanda’s background spans corporate and agency leadership. As founder/CEO, Amanda built an online marketplace called Artisan Connect to provide economic empowerment to women in 16 countries across the developing world. The company merged with a non-profit at the end of 2016. Previously, Amanda served as VP of Marketing at a range of technology companies, including: Aoptix, Splunk, Calico Commerce, and RasterOps. Early in her career, Amanda led the Desktop Publishing Group at Apple. Amanda’s agency experience includes serving as Global Head Energy & Environment for Porter Novelli, a global PR agency. She co-founded Sequence LLC, a brand strategy and design firm acquired by Salesforce in 2017. She served as its managing director, developing blue chip clients including Chevron, Chipotle and Sonos. Earlier, Amanda served as president of Studio Archetype, one of the first digital agencies, later acquired by Sapient.

Amanda received her MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She performed graduate studies in economics/energy policy at Trinity College, Cambridge under a Rotary Club Scholarship. Amanda graduated with honors from Princeton University with a joint BA in economics and political science, focusing on clean energy policy.

Amanda currently serves as a Board member for Sustainable Travel International and Mercado Global. She is a mentor at Stanford’s TomKat Center for Clean Energy and Sustainability and at Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2). She was the first “Social Entrepreneur in Residence” at Santa Clara University’s Miller Center where she also served as a mentor. Amanda holds a private pilot’s license.
